COVID-19 FAQs

We will be following the Government COVID guidelines in each of our venues for everyone’s well-being and safety. We hope the information below will answer any questions you may have regarding changes to our usual arrangements. If you have any other questions please email us at enquiries@buckinghamsummerfestival.org

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Adhering to the 50% venue capacity limit and in order to make socially-distanced seating arrangements, both venues will now have reduced capacity. To avoid disappointment, pre-booking is highly recommended. Tickets are currently available on-line and at the Buckingham Tourist Information Centre. If there are any tickets left, they will be made available on the door. We can take cash payments but would much prefer contactless payment if possible.

What if I'm not feeling well?

If you are presenting any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the performance and follow NHS guidance. If you contact us in advance, we can arrange a refund for your ticket.

Do I have to wear a face covering?

You will need to wear a face covering at all times within the venues unless you're exempt. If you would feel more comfortable showing something to indicate this, you can download exemption cards here.

Will I have to queue outside?

Unfortunately we will have to restrict the number of people in the foyer of the Radcliffe Centre. One of our volunteers will be at the door to manage a safe flow through to the auditorium.

Will I need to check in on arrival?

In line with Government guidance, we require everyone aged over 16 to check in either by scanning the NHS Test & Trace QR code, or by providing your details to the Box Office team. For more information and to download the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app go to the NHS website.

Will I be able to purchase refreshments?

Unfortunately we will be unable to serve drinks at any of the concerts. You will, however, be able to enjoy the ambience of the beautiful Hill House garden before our lunchtime concerts (by kind permission of Peter and Léonie Thorogood). A small selection of sandwiches and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Again, we will take cash but would much prefer contactless payment.

How often is the Radcliffe Centre cleaned?

The Radcliffe Centre will be cleaned at the start of each day and between each concert. To provide sufficient time for this, the afternoon concerts will start at 1:15pm instead of the usual 1pm.

Will there be an interval in the evening performances?

There will be an interval, but it will be shorter than usual as we are unable to serve wine. We would also ask that you remain in your seats where possible.

Will I be able to use the toilets?

Yes. The toilets will be cleaned regularly and will have a supply of antibacterial gel and surface wipes.

Will there be daily programme sheets?

Yes, but the full notes are on our Concerts page and a QR code will be displayed in the auditorium to take you to the correct section of the page. If you are going to use your mobile device to read the programme notes, please could you ensure it's switched to silent mode.
